Assessing and managing frost-damaged grape vines

Temperatures have rocketed between extreme highs and lows this spring, with frost damage concerns in early May – the latest last frost in the recent past, in some regions – and the recent hot, dry stretch. The past weekend in Ontario saw temperatures dip low enough for frost damage in some regions.
Kathryn Carter, a fruit specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), has created a resource for assessing frost damage on grape vines, the potential impacts it could have going forward and how to manage frost-damaged vines. |READ MORE
