Norfolk’s Cider Keg to feed G20 leaders
June 16, 2010, Vittoria, Ont – The Cider Keg, a food supplier based in Norfolk County, will be among the featured Canadian culinary offerings at the Toronto G20 Summit in late June.

Leaders at the Toronto G20 Summit will be enjoying The Cider Keg’s sparkling apple strawberry rhubarb cider. The G20 is a gathering of leaders from the world's most advanced and emerging economies.

The Cider Keg is very excited to be featured at the G20 Summit and to bring our … sparkling cider to the international community,” said Cheryl Peck, manager of the operation.

Uncle Tom’s Farm Inc. and The Cider Keg is a fourth-generation family-owned farm business. On the family farm, apples are cultivated, grown and, at harvest, travel from the orchard to the cider mill where a blend of apples is combined to make cider.

“With our inclusion in the G20 Summit, The Cider Keg is bringing the best of Norfolk County to the world stage,” said Norfolk mayor Dennis Travale. “Norfolk County is very proud of the many innovative farmers and food suppliers that are located in our community.”
