Attend the NS Agri-Innovation Symposium
March 15, 2010, Truro, NS – Farm producers, agri-businesses and researchers are invited to participate in the Nova Scotia Agri-Innovation Symposium being held March 23 at the Holiday Inn in Truro, NS.

Participants will learn from successful Nova Scotia farmers and agri-business operators some of the key elements that make their business a success. The event will also feature relevant information on government programs and services geared to help farm and agri-businesses be more profitable.

In this one-day event you will learn about:

  • the link between innovation and profitability
  • how to overcome obstacles and  barriers
  • real-life, real-time success stories
  • the importance of planning
  • how to connect with research and business services
  • networking opportunities
  • federal and provincial policy and programs and services on science, innovation and research.

Partners in support of the event include Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. This event is a part of Growing Forward, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.

Advance registration is required by Friday, March 19. The cost to attend this event is $40 including lunch and coffee breaks. Payment by cash or cheque payable to the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture will be collected on-site the day of the event.
