July 28, 2009 – Engage Agro is excited to announce that they will be the exclusive marketer and distributor for the Advanced Micro Polymers (AMP) Liquid Mulch products including AMP753 and AMP53 in North America. The products will be marketed in Canada under the name EcoFilm – Liquid Mulch.
We are eager to work with Advanced Micro Polymers (AMPs) to develop these products into our core specialty agricultural and horticultural markets and at the same time maintain AMPs vision of respecting the environment and promoting sustainability,” said Sean Chiki, Engage Agro Business Unit Manager.
The EcoFilm Liquid Mulch products are a unique blend of natural agricultural-based polymers and recycled paper fibers. The mulch is applied as a liquid and forms a film on the soil surface. The film allows water to penetrate into the soil, and helps maintain soil moisture, increases soil stability, and can inhibit the growth of certain weeds.
“The liquid formulation of the EcoFilm Liquid Mulch products offer many of the same benefits as plastic mulch and bark mulch, but the liquid formulation gives it the flexibility to be used in a number of different application and production environments,” said Chiki.
