The new online training and certification program will help commercial treaters get more out of their business by strengthening and enhancing seed treatment knowledge and best practices. Commercial treaters who successfully complete the course will earn the title, Syngenta Certified Seed Care Professional.

The certification program is completed online, making it accessible for commercial treaters across the country. It consists of detailed tutorials and an examination that is designed to assess and increase the seed treater’s knowledge of five important topics:

  • The history of seed treatment in Canada
  • Active ingredients
  • Formulations
  • Applications
  • Safe use, handling and storage

The commercial treaters who are invited to participate in this program are seed care experts who have the experience and resources needed to successfully obtain the designation.

By offering this program, Syngenta aims to provide commercial treaters with the best possible tools and services to help their business thrive.

The Syngenta Seed Care Certification Program launched November 1, 2008. For more information about the program or to find information regarding seed treatments please visit the new Syngenta seed care website at http://www.syngenta.ca/seedcare.
