JD CS36LE and CS40LE
Written by Fruit and Vegetable Magazine
John Deere has released two new Pro-Series™ chain saws which bring professional quality and serious power to any cutting job, whether it’s stocking the woodpile or clearing a construction site. With two new low-emission models, the CS36LE and CS40LE Lightweight Professional saws feature a 35.2-cc and a 39-cc engine with 2.1 and 2.4 horsepower, respectively. With bar sizes available from 14 to 18 inches, these saws are designed for use on the job site, on the farm or around the home. Featuring best-in-class power-to-weight ratios, these light, 9.5-lb.saws are ergonomically designed for manoeuvrability and operating comfort while providing high-speed cutting and increased productivity with progressive torque. The CS36LE and CS40LE have a no-oil-at-idle feature that reduces consumption and works in conjunction with the new low-emission engine to keep the environment cleaner. Forged and wafered connecting rods promote heat dissipation and thorough lubrication for added durability and extended engine life. For operator safety, each chain saw is equipped with an inertia chain brake, guidebar safety tip and low-kickback chain.
