Valtra N Advance
Written by Valtra
valtranadvancesmallValtra’s new N121 and N141 Advance models join the company’s Classic and HiTech N Series models, released during the autumn of 2006. These new models will feature SisuDiesel’s Citius Series engines with common rail fuel injection, which are among the most powerful four-cylinder tractor engines available on the market.

These engines boast all the latest features of modern engine technology, including a “power bulge” that offers maximum power at just 2000 rpm instead of the rated 2200 rpm. In addition, extra power boost is available for transport driving, increasing the power of the N121 from 137 hp to 144 hp, and that of the N141 from 152 hp to 160 hp. N Advance models also feature load-sensing hydraulics whose variable displacement piston pump has a maximum capacity of 115 litres per minute. Advance models feature electronic linkage management, or Autocontrol ACD, which features the radar-based slip control, which automatically engages the differential lock and four-wheel drive. Advance models supplement the standard N Series compact front suspension with optional cab suspension, which works in perfect harmony with the front suspension. The cab itself is spacious and quiet, and the interior design features a fresh new look.

To facilitate driving, Advance models feature an electro-hydraulically operated range gear between the road and field ranges. The HiShift button-controlled clutch allows the driver to change gears without using the clutch pedal, and the Powershift steps can be controlled manually, by using the factory settings, or by programming the system for specific tasks. Driving is further enhanced by Autotraction, which allows the tractor to be driven with just the accelerator and brake pedals at speeds of less than 10 km/h. Advance models are available with 40 or 50 km/h transmission and a powerful front linkage and PTO.
