Gowan Company recently acquired the marketing rights to the active ingredient pyridaben and is marketing it under the NeXter brand name. NeXter miticide/insecticide provides quick knockdown of tough mite pests – including European Red Mite and Two Spotted Spider mite – in apples, cherries, grapes, pears, strawberries, peaches and nectarines (Ontario only). NeXter delivers up to 40 days of residual control of mites. NeXter will be distributed in Canada by United Agri Products Canada Inc. and N. M. Bartlett Inc., and is available from leading farm supply retailers.
